Our comprehensive market intelligence report provides a deep dive into the opportunities and challenges facing the longevity supplements industry.

We are excited to announce the publication of a brand new market intelligence report that provides a detailed analysis of the growing longevity supplements market.

The 147-page report provides a deep dive into this new, yet fast-growing segment of the food supplements sector, exploring areas including market dynamics, ingredients, biomarkers, technical and regulatory considerations, and routes to market.

Longevity.Technology: Will a food supplement one day be proven to slow the rate-of-aging or have a proven positive effect on an aging outcome? In our opinion, yes. The goal of this report is to identify the opportunities for growth in the longevity supplements market, the factors that will drive that growth and the challenges that this early market will encounter as it moves into scale and validation.

Supplement buyer personas

A key element of the report is the creation of four key buyer personas, informed by the results of a consumer survey that assessed what drives consumers to take any form of supplement – longevity focused or otherwise. For Boomers and Millennials, the top aging concern is ‘cognitive skills, brain and nervous system.’

Boomer from Longevity Supplements Report

“Longevity supplements differ from other dietary supplements as they do not just provide ingredients simply to prevent vitamin deficiencies – they are able to provide the body with ingredients that can act on pathways to change the rate at which we age,” says Daragh Campbell, Scientific Editor at Longevity Technology and co-author of the report. “The survey data we gathered suggests there is still a lack of understanding as to how longevity supplements work and why they differ from generic supplements. With this report, we aim to start bridging this information gap.”

Longevity Supplements Report

Supplement companies profiled

Finally, the report includes in-depth profiles of 11 supplement companies, along with a detailed assessment of their success factors. Companies profiled are ChromaDex, Hydra Longevity, Juvenescence, Juvicell, MitoQ, Ponce de Leon Health, Quicksilver, Seneque, Longevity Labs, Youth & Earth and Vitalic.

“A growing body of evidence suggests some longevity supplements may possess multiple pharmacological benefits that could help prevent or treat disease, and several companies producing supplements are now undertaking clinical trials to prove both efficacy and safety,” says Phil Newman, Founder and CEO, First Longevity. “It’s quite possible that one or more of the companies profiled in this report will become the first to prove a positive result on aging or age-related disease.”
